Wed. 5/20 Prayer Requests

•Pray for the kids as they leave school and go out this summer to stay close to Jesus and keep seeking him. Pray for the kids who won’t be returning to GCS and what their next steps are.

•Pray for seniors that just graduated as they get ready for their future steps.

•Pray for former GCS teacher Josiah Winston’s family. His brother Ben was killed in a car accident, and their sister who was also in the accident survived but is badly injured and will have a long recovery ahead. Ben has a wife and an infant child that he left behind.

•Pray for VBS, for Cat and Markham as they head it up, for the teachers and volunteers, and the kids who will be attending.

•Pray for Brody Holloway’s step dad (believe his name is Mr. DeCosta). He got a diagnosis of ALS, but he is awaiting an appointment on 7/1 with one of the top hospitals in the country to get a second opinion as ALS is sometimes misdiagnosed. He will be there for roughly 2 weeks undergoing testing, so pray for him and for a different diagnosis than ALS and for full healing.

•Pastor Abraham sadly reported that last weekend and this week in Haiti, there have been 2 big gangs fighting in several of the smaller cities. Many of the businesses are closed, and over 2,000 people are now homeless as their homes have been burned down and they have been displaced with nothing but the clothes they were wearing, some with no shoes, no food, and no place to live because of the fighting. Pray for peace and for these people who have lost everything they owned.

•Pray for God to provide the money needed to pay for the shipment in Miami to get to Haiti.

•Pray for full healing for Becca’s Aunt Mary who has pneumonia and is in the ICU on a ventilator, and Becca’s other aunt said she may be septic. 

•Pray for Becca as she got stung by a bee on Sunday in the leg and is still having some issues from the sting.

•Pray for Rita and her health. She had a heart ablation, and she isn’t doing well and doesn’t think the ablation worked.

•Pray for the school faculty and staff to get rest during the summer. Pray for summer projects and for any additional hirings that will be done.

•Pray for Danny’s friend Jason who is struggling with some medical issues and medical bills from extensive hospital visits.

•Continue to pray for Sue’s coworker Virginia’s sister Rebekah. There are no new updates. Rebekah is still in ICU following a drug overdose. She has a husband and 3 teens.

•Continue to pray for Markham’s brother Jameson and his relationship with the Lord. Pray that he either rededicates his life to the Lord or that he trusts in the Lord for the first time if he never truly has before.

•Pray for our unsaved family and friends.
