Praises
• Praise God that Pastor Abraham was finally able to get a shipment into Haiti, allowing much-needed supplies to reach people in need.
• Praise God that Tiffany, who is caring for Elijah while the Winters are away, had the opportunity to witness Elijah ministering to her nephew, Travis. Praise that Elijah was able to boldly demonstrate his faith and be a Christ-like example through his words and actions.
• Praise God for the positive health report regarding Leanne’s grandmother’s cat. We are thankful that the cat is healthy and only needs to go on a diet.
Prayer Requests
• Dee- the home they were wanting to buy fell through and they are still needing to sell their house here. Pray for the right buyer for their house here and for the right home for them to buy.
• Pray for a positive report for Maggie at the doctor tomorrow. She has her 6 week follow-up appointment tomorrow to see if her shoulder is healing okay and if she’s well enough to start physical therapy.
• Please keep Barry’s father, Doug, and his wife, Kathy, in your prayers as they face declining health. Pray that God would grant them strength, comfort, peace, and healing according to His will.
Also, please pray for Barry as he prepares to have an important conversation with his dad that the Holy Spirit guide his words with wisdom, love, and compassion and that Barry would have assurance of his salvation.
• Joel - Please pray for the upcoming Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Cuba. Ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of the children and their families to receive the Gospel. Pray that many children will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
• Pray for Mr. Johnson’s brother’s son Paul Johnson who is currently in Saudi Arabia as he is in kidney failure and receiving dialysis.
• Continue to pray for the foster baby April Harrah and her family have been caring for. The baby will soon be placed with the grandmother who is already caring for the other 4 siblings. Pray for the transition.
• Pray for Maggie’s son Adam Dean that the Lord would provide permanent employment for him.
• Pray for Jessie’s best friend’s little sister Clei who was just diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma today (see her post above for the details). Pray for her best friend to draw closer to the Lord through this difficult time.
• Please pray for God’s guidance and blessing over the upcoming school year. Pray for a smooth and meaningful transition to holding chapel three times each week, that these services would have a lasting impact on the hearts of the students and help them grow in their faith.
• Also, please pray for Barry as he seeks to balance his many responsibilities. Ask the Lord to provide him with wisdom, strength, and discernment as he looks for ways to build deeper relationships with the students while faithfully fulfilling all of his other duties. May God use him to encourage, lead, and point students to Christ throughout the school year.
• Please pray for Aleissa as she finishes her AIT training. Pray that the Lord will give her strength, endurance, wisdom, and confidence to finish strong and continue to grow in her skills and faith.
• Also, pray for a smooth and safe transition as she reports to her new duty station in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on August 18. Ask God to guide every detail of her move, surround her with supportive leaders and friends, provide peace as she adjusts to a new environment, and continue to watch over and protect her as she begins this new chapter.
• Please pray for John as he prepares for an important interview for a position in Knoxville. Pray that if this opportunity is the right one, may the Lord open every door and provide favor with those making the decision.
• Please lift up the Terry family in Illinois as they grieve the heartbreaking loss of their 10-year-old son following a tragic car accident. Pray that God would surround them with His love, comfort, and peace during this unimaginable time of sorrow.
• Please pray for Tiffany and Conner as they adjust to a new season with Tiffany’s nephew, Travis, now living with their family and spending much of his time in their home. Please also pray for Travis, that God would surround him with positive, godly friends who will encourage him and be a good influence in his life. Pray that he would feel loved, supported, and secure during this time of change. Also pray for Conner as he adjusts to having his cousin around so much. Ask the Lord to help him embrace this new chapter with a joyful and understanding heart, and that He would strengthen the bond between the two boys.
• Please pray for Hanna’s friend, Katie, and her family as they grieve the recent loss of her father to cancer. Ask the Lord to surround them with His unfailing love, peace, and comfort during this difficult season, and to give them strength for each day as they navigate their grief.
• Please pray for the Wells family as they continue to care for Charlotte during her recovery from her tonsillectomy.
• Please pray for Bill, asking the Lord to relieve him from his ongoing back pain.
• Please pray for the McKeen’s, asking the Lord to grant them safe travels and a joyful time at Josie’s wedding right before school starts.
