Wed. 7/15 Prayer Requests
Praises
•LeeAnn’s mom had her 2 month post surgery appointment today and has been released to drive now. She is doing well after her back surgery so 2 praises for good healing and being able to drive now.
•Kelly was sharing at the ladies’ Bible study recently that things were a bit stressful having too many vehicles and expenses that went along with it, and then the Lord provided a buyer for one of their cars so they don’t have that car payment anymore.
•Katie and Titus survived a tough week of hiking especially through some rough storms. But she was able to share with Titus that when she goes on solo hikes, she really tries to minister to others she meets along the trail, and as she and Titus were praying together, a hiker came up to them, and she was able to share that they were praying, and he asked if they could pray for his brother George who is 14 and in kidney failure. So they were able to pray right then for him. And Titus thought it was cool how when they are in a situation like they were then when they were praying for a way to share their faith with someone on the trail, God gave them that opportunity by bringing this hiker along. Katie shared that we would as a church pray for George as well.
•Soccer tryouts are going well, so praise for that and prayers that they will have a great team and lots of opportunity to minister to the boys. Same for volleyball and cheer.
Prayer Requests
•Katie and Josiah are taking about 35 of the seniors on the senior retreat to Orlando in a few weeks, so pray for that to go well.
•Pray for Maggie and her shoulder that it would continue to heal.
•Pray for John Bond, Emily Bond’s husband. He fell in June and fractured almost all the vertebrae in his back plus his sternum and C7 in his neck. He’s needing full care which Emily was providing him, but as of last week, he was back in the hospital in so much pain not wanting to eat or drink. He also was a lung transplant recipient a few years ago, so he’s in rough shape, and Emily is also struggling with caring for him and seeing him like this.
•Pray for Mr. Grothe and some stiffness/pains he is having.
•Pray for unsaved family and friends.
•Mr. Grothe’s sister-in-law who we were praying for last week was diagnosed with double pneumonia, so pray for her to recover from that.
•Jeremy reminded us to pray for all the kids during the summer but especially for the kids going into middle school and different pressures and situations they are having to deal with that they would stand up for what is right and be bold in their faith especially as they are put in various situations they haven’t had to deal with before.
•Pray for the upcoming school year – for the staff, teachers, and the students. Pray that having 3 chapels this upcoming year – on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays – would give them more opportunities to minister to the students especially when they split up the middle and high school so they can speak more to issues each age group may be dealing with.
•Pray for one of Alex’s baseball players named Ryan. He’s 14 and dealing with a lot of back pain.
•Pray for Sue’s stepmother as she is traveling to Michigan.
•Pray for all the McKeens as they travel back to the states this week.
